Jenifer Zschoerper
Ballet
Jenifer began her dance training at the age of three and demonstrated exceptional talent from an early age. She was admitted to the Bolshoi Theatre School in Brazil after achieving the highest score in the selection process among more than 5,000 applicants. During her training, she consistently performed as a soloist throughout Brazil and internationally, appearing in Italy, Germany, France, and Russia. While at the school, she was selected by Vladimir Vassiliev to represent the Bolshoi Theatre School at the prestigious Galina Ulanova Prize for Young Dancers in Moscow.
In 2007, Jenifer was accepted into the English National Ballet School in London on a full scholarship. She graduated as valedictorian from the Bolshoi Theatre School in 2009. During this period, she also began her teaching career. In 2011, Jenifer joined the Baltimore Ballet as a principal dancer for a full season, while also coaching advanced dancers for competitions. In 2013, she relocated to Boston to continue her professional training at Boston Ballet.
Jenifer has had the honor of performing with Teatro alla Scala in Milan and has shared the stage with internationally renowned artists such as Natalia Osipova, Ivan Vassiliev, Marianela Nuñez, Ekaterina Krysanova, Marta Romagna, Marcelo Gomes, and Thiago Soares. She was also invited as a guest dancer at the Ravello Festival in Italy. Her extensive repertoire spans classical and neoclassical works, including The Nutcracker, Don Quixote, Giselle, Sleeping Beauty, Paquita, and Romeo and Juliet and others.
Throughout her performing career, Jenifer has participated in numerous local, national, and international competitions and festivals, earning significant recognition, including a Top 5 placement at the Youth America Grand Prix New York City Finals. Her choreographic work has also received awards at high-level international events.
As an educator, Jenifer has established herself as a highly respected ballet teacher and mentor. She has successfully guided many young dancers through the Vaganova method, enriched by her own refined technical approach developed under the mentorship of renowned ballet masters worldwide. Her students have earned accolades at major competitions such as Youth America Grand Prix Finals, VKIBC, and Tanzolymp, and have been accepted into some of the most prestigious professional summer programs and institutions in North America, including American Ballet Theatre, Canada’s National Ballet School, Royal Winnipeg Ballet, Boston Ballet School, Bolshoi Ballet Academy, The Rock School for Dance Education, and the Joffrey Ballet School.
Jenifer has also served as a judge for several ballet competitions in Brazil and has been invited as a guest teacher at prominent institutions across North America and Europe, including the Kirov Academy, Charleston City Ballet, and L’Étoile Academy. She has completed the Royal Academy of Dance Teaching Diploma in London and was honored with the Youth America Grand Prix Outstanding Teacher Award in recognition of her exceptional contributions to dance education.
For the past five years, Jenifer has been teaching at multiple studios in the Vancouver area and currently holds the position of Ballet Mistress at Dance Collective, Royal Principal, Arts Umbrella and Simply Ballet. She is deeply committed to providing the highest standard of performing arts education, fostering creativity, discipline, musicality, and healthy training practices while inspiring young dancers to reach their fullest potential.
