Ally Helman
Ballet
Ally Helman grew up in Southern California, where she began dancing at a young age at the Maple Conservatory of Dance. Her passion and dedication led her to train at The School of American Ballet in New York City, where she went on to dance professionally with New York City Ballet and later with Pacific Northwest Ballet.
In 2019, Ally co-founded Ballet Project OC and the streaming platform Ballet Project TV. As Artistic Director, choreographer, and dancer, she has created over twenty original works, shaping the company’s distinctive artistic voice and mission.
Alongside her artistic career, Ally is pursuing higher education in Business at Grand Canyon University to further strengthen her leadership and organizational skills.
In addition to her work with Ballet Project OC, Ally is an active educator, mentoring the next generation of dancers at institutions around SoCal. She also continues to perform as a guest principal artist with American Contemporary Ballet and other performing companies, while remaining dedicated to fostering collaboration with arts organizations throughout Southern California.
